Since 2020, Pf. Jung has started to manage the overall article review process as an associate editor for the Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome. His main interests are the pathophysiology of the metabolic diseases focusing on the role of adipose tissue and immune cells. He is also interested in the function of many secreted factors from adipose tissue. He has published over 90 original articles and reviews related to diabetes, metabolic syndrome and obesity. He is a member of the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity, the Korean Diabetes Association, and the American Diabetes Association. He is currently working in the Committee of General Affairs and the Committee of International Liaison of the Korea Diabetes Association.

Since 2019, Pf. Koo has monitored and managed the overall article review process as an associate editor for the Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome. Presently, Pf. Koo’s main interests are in the epidemiology of diabetes and obesity and pathophysiology of ectopic fat and related complications. She has published over 50 original articles and reviews related to diabetes and obesity. Pf. Koo is a member of the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity, the Korean Diabetes Association, the Korean Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association. She has been engaged in the Committee of General Affairs and the Committee of Publication in the Korean Diabetes Association. She is also an editorial board member of Diabetes & Metabolism Journal and the Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome.

Since 2020, Dr. Nam has monitored and managed the overall article review process as an associate editor for the Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome. Presently, Dr. Nam’s main interests are in the epidemiology of obesity-related diseases as well as other chronic diseases, and nutrition. She has published over 70 original articles and reviews related to her interest. She is participated as editorial board member of Korean Journal of Family Medicine, Korean Journal of Family Practice, and the Journal of the Korean Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco. Dr. Nam engages in numerous activities in the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity and the Korean Academy of Family Medicine.

Mr. Kim has worked as a consultant on biomedical statistics for the Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome. Mr. Kim has published many manuscripts on epidemiological study of obesity and diabetes. Mr. Kim previously worked as an associate editor for the Diabetes & Metabolism Journal, and now serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Diabetes Investigation.

Mr. Kwon monitors and manages the ethical aspects of submitted manuscripts as an ethics editor for the Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome. Mr. Kwon conducts research primarily on the etiology and risk factors of obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, and has received the Outstanding Research Topic Award, Academic Award, and Young Researcher Award by the Korean Endocrine Society and the Korean Association of Internal Medicine. Mr. Kwon engages in various activities in the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity, the Korean Diabetes Association, and the Korean Endocrine Society.
